West Coast Film Challenge
The West Coast Film Challenge is an all new filmmaking competition for young West Coasters aged 25 and under.
The challenge will be launched in early July across the region and is part of the continuing engagement and follow up to the successful 'A Day at the Beach' Adventure Festival held in September last year.
The basic challenge is simple:
For young West Coasters to make a film about the ‘West Coast’The films are to be based on the topic:
‘What do you love about the West Coast?Premiere Screenings for the winners:
The 3 winning films from the challenge will be shown during the ‘A Day at the Beach 2010 Roadshow’. Visiting a number of West Coast towns the roadshow runs from September 6-17th by day, and local cinema by night. This roadshow will preview the premiere of the short film shot during the ‘A Day at the Beach Festival’ last September.
Prizes:
Great prizes up for grabs, we’ll keep them a secret for now, just get your entries in!
The Basic Rules are:
- Any genre (drama, comedy, horror, mockumentary, documentary etc)
- Filmed with any camera
- Any length up to 5 minutes
- Anyone 25yrs or under can enter
- Either individually or in a team
