About Us

Guy Louis

The Festival is Co-directed by Louis Brown (Left) and Guy Ryan (Right). These two young entrepreneurs both grew up in the Northern Buller area of the West Coast, have a passion for the outdoors and have studied to post-graduate level at Otago University. The development of the Festival is helped by a multi-talented team of passionate young people, most of which are all in the final years of tertiary studies around New Zealand. The Festival is extensively networked with a multitude of volunteers from local communities, organisations, and businesses who all help bring the Festival to life - the collaboration is truly amazing.

Te Wai Pounamu Foundation

The Festival is managed by Te Wai Pounamu Foundation Trust. As a non-profit organisation the Trust operates as a charitable trust to enhance the communities of the south Island of New Zealand in particular the West Coast by creating a culture of positive and restorative leadership amongst young South Islanders that will empower them to be motivated, active citizens with a passion and purpose for personal, family, and community growth to lead the South Island and in particlar the West Coast beyond a sustainable future.
